The Woof Gang

"Hello there! We're two happy love-hounds living in Sydney with the compassionate humans who rescued us. Our names are Hudson and Pips (that's me) and we are one rather shy Australian Cattle Cross and one playful long-legged Jack Russel, respectively. 

"We adore our two-legged friends and we know they love us too, but they were struggling to show it with the cheap, lumpy beds in cheesy fabrics, which were all they could find for us to sleep on for a while.

"Despite being a peaceful and obedient dog, even Hudson couldn't hide his disappointment in what our companions brought home - and having starred in quite a few news stories and magazines, he even knew it wasn't any better for the rich and famous!

"There simply weren't any thoughtfully crafted, true designer dog beds in stylish contemporary textiles to be found...anywhere. And as for toys ingenious and robust enough to entertain me (Pips) for hours on end without disintegrating, forget about it!

"And so we started nudging our human housemates to help us collect and test a wide range of top quality accessories for walks in the park and playtime. We also sat on their laps (more comfortable than our old beds!) while they read and watched heaps of useful resources all geared up to educate humans about what really makes us happy, improves our confidence and helps us relax.

"As soon as we realised how talented our humans are (they're both designers with thriving careers) we knew the answer: collect all the best toys & accessories together on one easy-to-access website and then combine them with specifically tailored, well-researched, practical, comfortable and stylish beds. 

All of a sudden www.lovehound.com.au was born...and WE LOVE LOVEHOUND!

"Hudson was always just grateful to love and be loved, yet now he also gets to LOVE his gorgeous home-made bed which takes up less room, hardly ever needs washing, looks great indoors and stays cool in summer - it's the first time I've ever seen him properly sprawl on anything so blissfully!

"As for me, I have to admit I'm mischievous. I never intentionally wreak havoc, but I am a social butterfly who enjoys testing boundaries so I'm all about putting the ECO TOYS through their paces. So far I haven't even been able to rip one of them apart - but the filling inside is non-toxic anyway, just in case I ever do!"

Dog-Loving Design by Adrien

"We're proud to call Lovehound's designer one of a kind himself. Not only does he care for us in the exquisite manner to which we've become accustomed, but Adrien also credits us with being the best canine muses a human could have - no wonder we love him so much!

"What goes around comes around too, because the word on the street (and during long runs in the park) is that Australia's crème de la crème of budding design talent find his Art & Design lectures to be their greatest source of inspiration.

"We love that our favourite human studied Apparel & Textiles Design in America and followed it up with plenty of glamorous overseas collaborations. Since his permanent Sydney homecoming, we believe Adrien's thriving consultancy specialising in boutique residential interiors to be the creative cherry on the top for Lovehound.

"Why? Because it means everything he designs looks terrific, feels fabulous and performs brilliantly - not only for us, all of our friends and their two-legged companions but also in relation to their home décor, too. We know we can't bark for humans, but as far as we canines go it doesn't get any better than that!"
